There are two main ferry companies that serve the Isle of Wight.
Red Funnel operates between Southampton and Cowes. Its passenger only service goes to West Cowes and its car ferry service goes to East Cowes.
WightLink has car ferry services between Lymington and Yarmouth, and Portsmouth and Fishbourne and a passenger only service between Portsmouth and Ryde.
Red Funnel Car Ferry – From East Cowes you can either use the Chain ferry across the River Medina and then make your way through Cowes to Gurnard or you can drive around the river via Newport. From Newport follow the signs to Cowes. When you arrive at Northwood village follow the instructions below.

Wightlink Car Ferry (from Portsmouth) – When you land at Fishbourne, follow the road signs to Newport and then the signs to Cowes. You will then arrive at Northwood from where you should follow instruction below.

Wightlink Car Ferry (from Lymington) – When you land at Yarmouth, follow the signs to Newport and Cowes. When approaching Newport take the left turn to Cowes on the A3020. You will then arrive at Northwood from where you should follow instruction below.

From Northwood - At a set of traffic lights near Northwood Garage take the left hand fork (Nodes Road) and follow the road into Place Road. At the mini roundabout at the end of Place Road turn left and drive into Gurnard. Drive past a few shops and turn left into Solent View Road. You will then drive into Gurnard Marsh. Starboard and Seawinds are both on the left hand side of the road.
